A Fresh Start - The Gazebo Is Open
Today Starts My New Substack Business, Communication and Technology Newsletter
It is exciting to announce the inaugural post to my new Substack newsletter/blog. It feels good to finally have a place where I can regularly write about about interesting topics that will be valuable for my readers. You are savvy business professionals with a desire to continually expand their knowledge and skills in business and technology related topics, and you continually prompt me to evolve.
This is what you can expect from subscribing (It’s free!):
Weekly posts on timely and useful topics. Expect for new material to post on Monday morning, so you get fresh, useful information at the start of your work week.
Occasionally, there may be a post in between if something catches my eye and I promise to not overload your inbox.
Topics you can expect to be covered at different times include:
a. Organizational communication related topics such as an overview of my “5 Steps To Better Communication” and then a deeper dive into each of the steps in the following weeks.
b. Media richness theory and its application to business communication. These concepts are powerful, yet little understood, and you will get a sneak preview here as a subscriber.
c. The decision-making functions of the brain as tied to neuroplasticity, the economics of decision making, the art and science of persuasion, and motivation theory.
d. The relationship of employee skills and knowledge to specific job tasks. In other words, matching the right person to the right job.
e. Skills, tips, tricks related to becoming a better communicator, manager, and leader.
f. Cool technology topics. Yes. I am a total geek.
4. My intent with each post is to: a) review a topic, b) explain why you should care about it, and c) suggest how you can apply it in reality.
5. As an avid reader, I often find someone writing about interesting stuff and plan to note them here, saving you the time and trouble of finding them yourself.
There is soooo much I have learned from others during my 50 years of active involvement with startups and large corporations succeeding in the business of technology. My goal is to offer insight about how these past experiences shed new light on what is happening today. As a subscriber you will get to read it here first.
I would be my honor to have you hit the “Subscribe Now” button (It’s free), then grab a cup of coffee and join me under the gazebo. Welcome …
