Trump is giving away decades of commitment and billions of dollars of global American goodwill in a matter of weeks by abruptly and callously closing USAID, leaving people stranded without previously promised food, medical and other emergency services. And China is more than happy to accept Trump’s unforced error gift by stepping in to replace the broken American financial promise and provide Chinese financial relief to these same needy people around the world.

“We will never abandon you like the United States did,” says China.

Who are folks most likely to believe next time? America who broke a promise and left them and their families stranded, or China who stepped up and fed them in a time of desperate need.

It is like Trump is handing the world to China on a silver platter.
